As we all know, we had a wonderful ENS race in July in Aigen, Austria, with 90 drivers and some great racing. As the year has moved on, there are still lots of restrictions in place in many areas of Europe, for travel and events, so we are very happy we have this one successful event completed.
We have been working with our amazing partners at both Ettlingen and Fiorano, but this week we have to come to a sad decision that we do not have the right conditions at either location to be able to hold a race like ENS in 2021. Obviously, this is really disappointing news for not only us on the ENS team, but for all our drivers too.
Alongside this, we have looked for other dates and venues, but with everyone else now having their national races or other events in a short time, there aren’t any other chances for us.
So, we have decided to make the decision now that our ENS season 2021 is concluded with just one race. This is not an easy decision and we are thankful to the teams at all the clubs for all their work to try to make things happen. But we feel it is the right decision to give our racers a clear picture and they can plan for the rest of this year. We don’t want to have to keep cancelling or moving races at this time.
Whilst this is sad for us all, it also means we now have more time to plan ENS 2022, and we aim to get started in April or early May in Fiorano. We will work on a full calendar soon with all our clubs and tracks around Europe.
We want to thank all our racers for the great event we had in Aigen, and for everyone’s support in another difficult year. We enjoy making the ENS so much, and this only makes us more motivated to make a really great season in 2022 for us all.
Until then, we hope you and your families stay safe and keep racing at all your local events! We will all be together soon again!
Your Uwe, Oli and ENS Orga Team.
